As an avid Shark Tank watcher, I can tell you that Shark Tank is one of the most popular business reality TV shows.

Shark Tank is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas to a group of millionaire investors and secure funding for their businesses.

One of the companies that appeared on Shark Tank is Angel Lift. In this blog article, I will provide a detailed account of what happened to Angel Lift after appearing on Shark Tank.

What is Angel Lift?

Before delving into the details of what happened to Angel Lift, it is essential to understand what the company is all about. Angel Lift is a set of facelift strips that help reduce signs of aging without requiring invasive surgical procedures

The company developed this product in 2003, and the founder and proprietor of AngelLift is Aaron Bruce, a renowned entrepreneur with multiple patents.

Angel Lift features

Angel Lift has several features that make it an excellent product for people looking to reduce aging signs. Here are some of the features of Angel Lift:

Feature one

Angel Lift are dermal facelift strips that can reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and sagging skin around the mouth.

Feature two

The product is safe and non-invasive, offering an alternative to people seeking to reverse the effects of the aging process on their faces without undergoing surgical procedures.

Feature three

Angel Lift is an over-the-counter product, meaning that it does not require a prescription to buy. This feature has made the product accessible to a broader market.

Angel Lift before Shark Tank

Before appearing on Shark Tank, Angel Lift was one of the prescription-only derma strips in the industry. The company took a new space in the year 2011 and started to make the first-ever over-the-counter facelift strips.

This aspect offered an option that's non-invasive to people seeking to reverse the signs and effects of aging on their skin.

This option was a safe, non-invasive, and chemical-free approach for removing wrinkles and saggy skin.

Angel Lift’s main problem is that they have low production of dermal strips, so Aaron and Kelly came to Shark Tank to find an investor who could help them with their boost in production.

What happened during the Shark Tank episode?

Aaron and Kelly made a debut on ABC's 5th season of Shark Tank on episode 27 to pitch their company and product – AngelLift. Aaron and Kelly were looking for an investor who would offer $500,000 in exchange for 10% equity in their company.

The duo faced a bench of 5 sharks who paid attention to their pitch. Aaron begins to explain what the AngelLift derma strip is and demonstrates how they work.

He also mentions that the product has been in the market for a little over five months and has been making some decent sales. However, he needed additional funds to boost its production.

The Sharks requested proof of sales and clinical trials as evidence to see if the product was effective. Aaron presented them with an approval certification from Wrinklepedia.com after six months of clinical trials with them.

After the pitch, the Sharks had different views about this product. Mark Cuban views Angel Lift as a risky investment and states that Aaaron is just talking outside his mouth.

On the other hand, Lori Greiner expresses interest in the product and believes it has great potential. She offered the duo $500,000 for a 20% stake in the company, which is twice what they were asking for.

Kevin O'Leary makes an offer of $500,000 for 10% equity, the same terms that Aaron and Kelly were asking for. However, his offer includes a royalty of $5 per unit until he recoups his investment, after which he would continue to receive a 5% royalty.

Ultimately, Aaron and Kelly accept Mr. Wonderful's offer, as they believe his marketing and distribution expertise will help take Angel Lift to the next level.

Aaron and Kelly used the funding to improve their production process and expand their marketing efforts, which proved to be successful.

In addition to the increase in revenue, Angel Lift also gained significant exposure from being on Shark Tank.

The episode aired in 2014, and since then, the company has been featured in various media outlets, including Forbes, Vogue, and The New York Times.

Today, Angel Lift continues to sell its facelift strips online and through select retailers. The company also expanded their product line to include skincare products such as serums and creams.

Angel Lift Pros & Cons

As with any product, Angel Lift has its advantages and disadvantages. Here are the three pros and three cons of Angel Lift:

  • Non-invasive: Angel Lift offers a safe and non-invasive alternative to facelift surgeries, which can be expensive and require lengthy recovery times.
  • Affordable: Compared to surgical facelifts, Angel Lift is relatively affordable and accessible to a broader market.
  • Easy to use: The Angel Lift strips are easy to apply and can be used in the comfort of your own home.

  • Temporary results: The effects of Angel Lift are not permanent and will require repeated use to maintain the desired results.
  • Limited effectiveness: While Angel Lift can reduce wrinkles and fine lines on the skin, it may not be effective for more severe sagging or skin damage.
  • Not suitable for everyone: Some people may have allergies or sensitivities to the materials used in Angel Lift strips, and the product may not be suitable for them.

Angel Lift alternatives

While Angel Lift is a popular product, it's not the only option for people looking to reduce the signs of aging. Here are some alternatives to Angel Lift:

Alternative one: Botox

Botox is a popular injectable treatment that can remove wrinkles and fine lines on the skin. It works by temporarily paralyzing the muscles responsible for these lines.

Alternative one Botox

Botox is more invasive than Angel Lift, but the effects can last for several months.

Alternative two: Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are another injectable treatment that can get rid of the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

They work by filling in the areas of the skin that lost volume due to aging. Like Botox, dermal fillers are more invasive than Angel Lift, but the effects can last for several months.

Alternative three: Chemical Peels

Chemical peels include applying a chemical solution to the skin to get rid of the outer layers and reveal smoother, younger-looking skin.

They can be effective in reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots. However, they are more invasive than Angel Lift and can have more significant side effects.

In conclusion, Angel Lift's appearance on Shark Tank was a significant turning point for the company. The exposure and funding it received allowed it to grow and become a major player in the anti-aging industry.

Today, Angel Lift is a successful company that continues to help people reduce the signs of aging without resorting to invasive surgical procedures.
