Still, he noticed something was missing from boxing: the ability to kick people in the face. So he created a new sport called mixed martial arts (MMA).

How much is Dana White's net worth?

Thanks to Dana White's direction, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has grown into one of the world's most popular sports and is now a multibillion-dollar company.

White was appointed President when Lorenzo Fertitta and his brother Frank purchased the firm in 2001 for 2 million dollars.

Since then, White has been the driving factor behind the UFC's growth in popularity and commercial success.

Fighters such as Conor McGregor, Nate Diaz, and Khabib Nurmagomedov have climbed to the pinnacle of their respective sports under his tutelage.

According to the latest sources, Dana's net worth is now estimated to be about $500 million.

Dana White biography

Being a man of many talents, Dan White is one of the most successful businessmen in the world. Still, he's also the President and co-owner of the UFC. This organization has turned into a billion-dollar industry—and it wasn't always easy for him.

Early life

On July 28th, 1969, Dana White, the current President of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), was born.

Dana and his sister, Kelly, spent most of their life at home with their mother and his grandma. Dana was in the same boat.

While growing up, he often traveled between Las Vegas and Maine, where he spent much of his time. White spent a substantial chunk of his adolescence participating in triathlon training, most notably boxing, and he has long been a Red Sox supporter.

Boxing career

White did not graduate from the University of Massachusetts, although he did continue his education there for a short period. During his stay in the inner city, he founded a boxing program to assist at-risk children and teens.

During this time, he started working as an aerobics instructor to earn a little more money for himself. Dana White Enterprises was founded in 1992, upon his migration to Las Vegas.

Chuck Lidell and Tito Ortiz were two of the first boxers he managed under his supervision during this period.

White was already experimenting with many combat styles before the United Fighting Championships (UFC) was created, including Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and Muay Thai.

White was fortunate that his high school friend Lorenzo Fertitta, who became a hotel and casino executive at Station Casinos, had already made a reputation for himself in the field.

They discussed the sport of boxing, their hobbies, and their hopes for future cooperation during their second meeting, which took place at a wedding in the middle of the 1990s.

As an athlete manager, White found himself in the heart of a conflict with the UFC, which he helped spark. It was determined by an investigation into the organization's financial position.

Semaphore Entertainment Group, the parent company of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), is bankrupt. Shortly after, White contacted his old buddy Lorenzo Fertitta to discuss placing a bid.

Presidency in UFC

Lorenzo came into discussions to acquire the UFC as soon as he saw the potential that was provided to him. Lorenzo's elder brother, Frank, was also invited to join in on the fun.

In 2001, the Fertitta brothers paid $2 million for an 81 percent share in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

White was easily elected President with minimal opposition.

The UFCAs, as a result, have been converted from a brutal and illegal business into a phenomenon recognized all over the globe due to White and his staff in the years after they purchased the firm.

Even after selling the firm, White has continued to serve in his prior capacity as President. As a result of his efforts, the sport's popularity has risen, blossoming into a multibillion-dollar enterprise.

Dana White's Contender Series

The UFC announced in May 2017 that it would host the Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series.

When you subscribe to UFC Fight Pass, you can watch the Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series, an American Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) organization.

You will only be able to view the broadcast if you subscribe to the digital streaming option provided by the UFC Fight Pass promotion. This is due to the broadcast being licensed independently of the UFC brand.

In the program, aspiring fighters can refine their skills and get valuable training in the event that they one day want to compete in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Dan White's personal life

White has been blissfully married to Anne, his best friend, and soulmate, since 1996. In the eighth grade, the two formed a bond.

This family consists of three members: Aidan, Dana III, and Savannah. White dislikes having his personal life addressed publicly and wants to keep it that way.

White disclosed in May 2012 that he had been diagnosed with Ménière's disease, a neurological disorder he claims was partly caused by a fight he had when he was younger. White revealed this in the middle of the month.

When Trump was running for President for the first time, White delivered a speech at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio. At that convention, White was a strong Trump supporter.

He continues to express his support for President Trump throughout his reelection campaign in 2020.

He did so by attending rallies and giving interviews in which he mentioned how Trump was an early supporter of the UFC and enabled one of the promotion's most meaningful events to be staged at one of his properties.

Tuptim Jadnooleum, the daughter of one of Tiger Muay Thai's teachers, had a liver transplant in 2010 that cost $50,000. In 2011, White donated a $100,000 gift to rebuilding his old high school.

Dana White's controversies

Both Ariel Helwani and the referee, Mario Yamasaki, were publicly chastised by White for their actions at a UFC event. White delivered his remarks in front of the cameras.

As a result, the UFC president's image as a "bully" with a "short fuse" has been established. This is because he utilizes his position of power to make judgments that many people find harsh and disagreeable.

Dana White, on the other hand, isn't nearly as unpleasant or malevolent as many people believe. As a result, many people believe UFC president Dana White to be the most exemplary fight promoter in the sport's history.

Given the circumstances surrounding his and the Fertitta brothers' original takeover of control of the corporation, White's authoritarian approach is justified.

How much is Dana White's salary?

Dan White is a big deal.

He was the biggest deal in the UFC until Conor McGregor came around and started making more money than him. But even today, White still earns $20 million a year.

That's because of his "small stake" in the UFC. The company didn't have much value when he first bought in, but now it's worth billions.

The Takeaway

In conclusion, Dana White is among the world's most exciting and successful people.

With a net worth of $500 million, it's great to see how he has turned his life around and become such an important figure in the sports world.
