DropFunnels review summary
DropFunnels may be the new kid on the block, but it’s not floundering on the shallow end of the client pool. This always says something good for companies that are just starting out when they’ve gained traction well before most of their competition has.
Overall, we’d rate the platform a solid 4, veering toward a 5-star rating. It’s quite similar to platforms like ClickFunnels and LeadPages in the aspect that it strives hard to put together digital marketing necessities all in one roof.
This means you’ll not only be able to build websites on the platform, but you’ll also be able to access a variety of tools to help you create effective landing pages.
What is DropFunnels?
Before we dive deeper into what DropFunnels can do for you, let’s take a quick look at what DropFunnels is and what it has set out to do.
Like many other platforms in the market, DropFunnels aims to provide business owners with the tools to take their business into their own hands. That means you’ll have access to all the tools you need to make your mark in digital marketing.
This includes the ability to design your website, create sales funnels, and even effectively raise your blog authority.
Furthermore, the platform is designed to fit nicely into the needs of both business owners and digital marketing experts.
Truth be told, at first glance, there’s not much that makes the platform stand out from its competition. But we’ll get into that later.
Right now, all you need to know is that while the Drop Funnel platform may be new to the market, but it’s certainly rising faster than its competition.
Are its main features worth my time?
All-in-one digital solutions like the DropFunnel software usually veer towards providing you with two of the most important digital marketing tools you’ll need: a website and sales funnels.
While these two usually go hand-in-hand, it’s not always necessary for you to utilize both features. Now, if you’re looking for software to help you build one feature independently from the other, DropFunnels may not exactly be the right choice for you.
DropFunnels gives you the ability to build websites and sales funnels all in one convenient platform.
Now, I’d say that there are definitely a lot of pros and cons to the platform and its main features.
But, if you’re looking for a platform that can pose as an all-in-one solution to your digital marketing needs, then DropFunnels is definitely something you should look into.
To whom would I recommend DropFunnels?
I’ve given this plenty of thought as I tinkered around with the platform itself. Truthfully, the platform is simple enough and easy enough to understand.
That said, it’s certainly not for everyone. I’d better recommend the platform for those of you who have minimal SEO, coding, and programming knowledge.
Why? Because the platform is designed to make it possible for you to do all these things without having to worry about hiring a professional.
To keep it simple, I’ve divvied up the type of people I would recommend DropFunnels to according to your needs. Take a look at what I have to say below.
For anyone who wants to rank their sales funnels on Google
This is one of the best features that DropFunnels has to offer you. It’s no secret that it can be difficult to have your funnels rank on Google. Even when you use a sales funnel builder, it’s still virtually impossible to do so.
DropFunnels is designed to help your sales funnels rank on Google. And when I say rank, I mean RANK. You basically have access to the utilities and tools that will help your landing pages reach the top spot on Google searches.
Which, let’s be honest, is the ONLY spot that matters.
You may be asking: how does DropFunnels do this?
It’s quite simple, to be honest. And it’s also not new. While it may not be a new feature, not enough of DropFunnels’ competitors out there have a dedicated SEO category.
The SEO tool helps you fix your web rankings and optimize your content to the best of Google’s standards. What’s more, is it makes it incredibly easy for you to do so.
For those who want to build brand authority
A website is one of the key landmarks that makes a brand or business automatically recognizable and trustworthy. Think of it this way: a page that includes all of a brand’s information with a custom domain means you put a lot of thought into your business.
People are more likely to do business with you when they know you’re dedicated to making it work.
Ask any digital marketing expert out there and they’ll tell you the same thing: your sales funnels are basically useless if you don’t have a website.
Of course, there are special cases wherein a website may not apply to you, but think of it this way: would you rather purchase something off of Facebook Messenger or on an official website?
But it doesn’t stop there. Just because you have a website doesn’t mean your brand authority will skyrocket. You have to remain consistent with your content as well.
DropFunnels makes it easy for you to create a blog and optimize it to Google’s standards. We all know how important website authority is, after all.
For anyone who is looking for a faster and better way to grow your business
Platforms like DropFunnels make it easy to launch a successful business all in one well-organized platform. This means you don’t have to keep tabs on different software and websites to gain access to certain aspects of your business.
The built-in SEO tool, as well as the intuitive user interface, allows you to more easily create sales funnels and websites easily without having to take a course on coding, programming or Google optimization.
What are the features DropFunnels has to offer?
DropFunnels utilizes a variety of tools that are recognized well enough in the community. Moreover, they’re also geared towards customer satisfaction. Let’s take a look at some of the features that come with a DropFunnels subscription:
Website and sales funnel builder
The first thing you’ll notice when you access the website and sales funnel builder on DropFunnels is how familiar it may look if you’ve used WordPress before.
DropFunnels takes cues from one of the more popular WordPress page builder plugins: Beaver Builder. You’ll notice that the builder uses modules from Beaver Builder.
The Beaver Builder modules are used as a starting point for building widgets and other customizations on the platform.
Now, this may seem like a daunting aspect to you, but it’s actually a great discovery for me, personally. I find that some platforms don’t put enough thought into the more customizable aspect of their builders.
This means you’ll be able to use your coding skills more frequently than you would be expected from other platforms out there with simple drag and drop builders.
Now, if you aren’t particularly keen on customizing your widgets, there’s no reason to fret. DropFunnels comes with over 90 widgets that are ready for use. All you need to do is pick and choose which ones you need.
Another aspect that I enjoyed about the builder is that it allows you to use it for your sales funnels and blogging. This makes it easier to navigate between your tasks without having to leave the section.
What I hate the most about all-in-one platforms is the lack of dashboards. Yes, there are some out there that include a decent enough dashboard, but not all of them do.
DropFunnels makes it easy to navigate certain tasks. This means you have immediate access to some of the most important aspects of DropFunnels like creating blog posts, pages, media uploads, the SEO tool, and website editor.
Basically, the dashboard is designed to give you easier access to all of the tools DropFunnels has to offer. It makes it easy on the eyes and keeps everything well-organized so you never overlook any tasks you might need to do.
The search engine optimization (SEO) tool
The SEO tool that DropFunnels packs is incredibly streamlined and well-integrated into the system. This not only gives you the opportunity to maximize your search engine optimization efforts, but it also pinpoints areas where you could do better.
This is one of the main reasons why the SEO tool is as effective as it is advertised. Many in-built search engine optimization tools lack organization and a quick-to-follow process.
This means you’re often left relying on your own knowledge of SEO and what the program suggests you do.
DropFunnels on the other hand, makes sure your content is precisely honed to the demands of Google. This means your chances of reaching the top spot are more likely as opposed to its competition where you’d have to hire a professional to reach the first page.
Now, the SEO tool itself comes in a categorized menu that allows you to set every important aspect of content you can think of.
For example, you have the option to edit your meta descriptions, optimize your sitemap, connect social media accounts, review Google Analytics and a variety of other helpful advanced SEO tools.
Basically, everything you need to make sure every single part of your page meets Google’s tight SEO guidelines is at the end of your fingertips.
The only negative I can think of is that SEO in itself is quite confusing. So there’s definitely a learning curve and you will need to set aside time to make sure your site optimization is the best it can be.
Otherwise, you’re just letting a perfectly great search engine optimization tool go to waste.
Complementary in-built link tracking
One of the smaller, yet more helpful features of the platform is the in-house link tracker. This allows you to keep an eye on different links to track how they’re doing in terms of clicks, interaction and conversions.
It also helps that everything is in one handy little window so you can easily check up on various links that you’re trying to manage.
The tool itself is helpful if you’re trying to determine which content and strategies are better received by your audience.
What’s more, it also allows you to draw your own conclusion on what you need to fix to make certain topics, ads, funnels or pages more popular for your demographic.
The pros of DropFunnels
Now that we’ve taken a deep dive into some of the more technical aspects of DropFunnels, let’s take a quick review of what the platform has going for it.
Certainly, there are many positive points to the platform, here are some of the best aspects I’ve noticed:
As you can see, there are definitely many good - dare I say great even, qualities that DropFunnels has to offer. In fact, it’s one of the most well-packed all-in-one platforms I’ve seen pop up in a while that isn’t already part of the more popular platforms.
The cons of DropFunnels
Despite its merits, there are certainly a number of things about DropFunnels that I found a bit off-putting for certain users.
Of course, what platform doesn’t have any issues right? That’s why it can be difficult to objectively make a decision on what the best platform is. What works for me may not work for you and vice versa.
Take a look at some of the things I wish DropFunnels could improve upon:
That said, there are several reasons why some of the cons of DropFunnels could also be considered as positives.
For example, just because it’s new doesn’t mean it doesn’t have potential. It definitely shows immense potential. The only thing you have to think about is this: would it be able to grow with your business?
Furthermore, since you can only connect it with one domain, you’re not entirely able to set up work for your clients like you would be able to do on ClickFunnels. That said, this can also be considered a positive if you think about it this way: sticking to one domain allows the platform to help you maximize your SEO efforts.
And finally, it’s not your average drag and drop builder. Unlike other platforms that are focused on making it easy for literally anyone to build sales funnels, websites and pages, DropFunnels does require that you put at least some coding skill into good use.
This means that while the process is streamlined well enough, you may still find yourself stuck trying to learn how to add certain widgets.
I like to think of it as better suited for those who are more adventurous and would like to learn a bit of coding as well. But if you’re looking for something that’s entirely reliant on templates and a simple drag and drop builder, you may have to divert your attention to other software.
DropFunnels pricing: how much does it cost?
DropFunnels is reasonably well-priced for the number of features and streamlined tools it offers you. That said, you’re not obligated to spend your money blindly. You can give their free trial a chance before making a permanent monetary commitment by subscribing to any of their two monthly plans.
Once your free trial ends, you’ll have the option to choose between these two plan options:
The Starter plan will run you $49 a month. It’s my go-to recommendation if you’re just a startup and aren’t really looking to spend a large amount of money.
The plan gives you all the tools you need to further your business and allow you to transition into the more expensive plan in the future as well.
Now, the Pro plan is slightly more expensive than the Starter plan. At $149 a month, it’s better suited for those who aren’t afraid to invest a larger amount of money from the beginning.
But in truth, I would recommend it better to business owners who have already established a brand and are looking for a platform to help you maintain your success.
The bottom line: is DropFunnels worth my time?
There’s really no easy way to answer this question. I always tell my clients that you should always ask yourself this question. After all, needs vary with each individual. That’s why I came up with a quick list of questions you should ask yourself to help you better determine whether a platform is worth your time.
I think it’s also important to make it a point to consider the capabilities of a platform. For example, DropFunnels is definitely not well suited for you if you want something more templated and easier to manage.
But if you’re willing to learn and would like to spend some time making your brand your own, then by all means, go crazy on the platform’s builder.
More than that, you should also consider your budget. Just because it’s an investment doesn’t mean you have to spend all your money on it. After all, your business will not survive if you’re spending more than you’re earning.
That said, there’s definitely no reason for you to ignore the free trial. If you have a bit of extra time, the trial period will help you better make a decision for yourself and your business.
Besides, what’s the worst that can come of giving the free trial a chance? You could end up having lost a few days and deciding that a platform isn’t right for you or you could let an opportunity pass you by just because you didn’t want to invest time into it.
Overall, I feel that DropFunnels is definitely worth your time if you’re looking for a conversion-oriented platform that will heavily influence the path your business takes.
The streamlined SEO tool and the ability to rank your sales funnels makes it an ideal software for any business owner.
However, if you’re a digital marketer working with several clients, you may want to look into alternatives. After all, the platform only allows you to connect one domain per account.
To cut it short, DropFunnels is a great tool for anyone who is willing to try it. Keep in mind that it’s still relatively new so you may encounter a few learning curves and there’s definitely some room for improvement.
Despite that, you can’t go wrong with a software that promises and delivers results.
