FlexClip has recently started making rounds online because of its free features that allow marketers and entrepreneurs like you and me to edit high-quality videos for free. While this kind of program isn't anything new, there's always room for more software that makes life easier for us all.

But is it really worth your time? Does it make video editing easier and more accessible for us regular folks? In this FlexClip review, I dive deep into this "free" video editor so you don't have to waste your time.

If you've already decided to get FlexClip, just click the button below to try it for free.

What is FlexClip?

In a nutshell, FlexClip is a free video editor you can use to edit videos online. The software is touted as an easy-to-use alternative to paid editing software. While this is true in some respects, there are some noted issues with the program that prevent it from being a viable replacement for your favorite video editor programs.

FlexClip Review

FlexClip allows you to add various types of texts and effects onto your videos, save them onto your device, and upload them onto social media platforms or your website. It's an easy-to-use but powerful video editor that lets you quickly produce commercial films and family videos.

So, to sum it up, FlexClip can be described as a free video editor that allows you to quickly create dynamic, professional clips for your website or social media platforms.

How does FlexClip work?

The software allows you to create commercial-quality videos and ads from scratch or with the use of pre-designed templates. The pre-designed templates range from simple slideshows to more complex, lengthy ads that can seamlessly be published on social media or your website.

The video editor will automatically detect where you want to place your text and graphical elements. You can make these segments as long or as short as you want, and you can also select the duration of each segment separately.

The FlexClip interface is fairly easy to navigate, though it can be quite overwhelming at first.

What are the main benefits of using FlexClip?

The primary benefits of using the free video editor FlexClip are its features, simplicity, and cost. But before I get to these things, it's best to review what this software can't do.

main benefits of using FlexClip

It can't be used in professional settings precisely because of its limitations in comparison to paid video editors. For example, you can't use this software to edit videos that will be shown on TV. It's not powerful enough for that purpose.

And although it's free, you should know that the free version of FlexClip will limit you to using only a few fonts, text styles, templates, and graphical elements. Other than that, the free version has no other restrictions.

Who is it for?

Without a doubt, the target audience for the free video editor FlexClip includes marketers, businesses, and regular folks.

As I mentioned above, it's also ideal for people who are looking to create dynamic ad videos for their websites or social media platforms.

Small businesses can make custom videos to promote their goods or services at no cost, which is both cost-effective and convenient. And even if you aren't running a business, FlexClip is a pretty cool tool that you can use for your personal needs.

Because the software is so easy to use, even beginners can quickly produce professional-looking videos. And by having all of these options at your fingertips, you learn how to use them quickly and efficiently while injecting personality into your videos.

Flexclip key features

As far as FlexClip's key features go, here are the most important aspects of using this program.

The simplest way to understand these features is to view them as advanced options for the free version of the video editor. Let's get right to it.

Edit for free

The most important thing about FlexClip is that it's free – you can create professional-looking videos without paying a dime. In fact, many of the more advanced video editing software on the market cost hundreds of dollars!

This makes FlexClip a viable alternative for those of us who are either on a budget or those who simply don't have the money to waste on expensive software. I must note here that you will not be able to produce high-quality videos with FlexClip if you're a complete beginner.

While you may encounter some limitations on the free plan, it's still quite useful. Look at it this way, you can test it out without worrying about running out of time.

Thousands of template options

The best thing about FlexClip is its versatility. It offers thousands of different templates for the video editor, which you can use to make short commercial-like videos or ads. These templates are divided into various categories, depending on their purpose and style.

flexclip templates

You can create your very own custom template if you're feeling creative. This is easier than it sounds; all you have to do is follow the step-by-step instructions during the video editing process.

FlexClip also offers a ton of pre-designed templates for your convenience. These templates are molded to fit specific purposes, such as holiday greetings, birthday wishes, farewells, wedding events, business presentations, movie trailers, sports videos, or other custom videos.

Just look at the name of the template you plan on using before creating your video to ensure that the template is right for your project.

In general, its templates are divided into three main categories such as:

Business

This category comes with several sub-categories; each with hundreds of template choices for you to choose from. These include promo, real estate, news, corporate, trailer, and tutorial videos.

Templates for this category are more complex; they're meant to impress clients or customers. It's best to use these templates if you're trying to make a lasting impression with your video.

Lifestyle

The lifestyle category includes more than 800 templates for you to choose from. These templates cover things like fun, travel, shopping, camping, hunting, fishing, sports, weddings, and more. You can think of these templates as "light" versions of the other categories.

flexclip lifestyle templates

This category is aimed towards casual users who want to make videos for their own personal use. Most of the templates in this category are simple and fun to use.

Social media

From Youtube to Twitter, FlexClip offers templates for this category. These templates are suitable for both videos that will be shown on YouTube and videos that you're going to share on social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and so on.

It's best to use these templates if you have a specific purpose for your video. If you want to share a video on social media or send a quick message through YouTube or Twitter, FlexClip can help you create a simple video that fits your needs.

And because it's quite popular, the FlexClip video editor has its own Youtube channel where you can find any number of videos that teach you how to use it.

Animated text and elements

There are over 3 million animated graphics you can use for your videos, according to FlexClip's official website. You can find anything from wedding themed graphics to sports-centric ones, and everything in between.

FlexClip animated elements

It's best to explore the official website; it has a large collection of animated graphics that you can use for your videos. Personally, I really like how extensive the animations library is. And I like how you can add these to your videos to add a more personal touch.

There's definitely plenty to choose from and I think FlexClip's animation and graphic collection is quite extensive. This way, you can tailor your videos to suit your brand and your needs even more.

That said, the extensive library can also get overwhelming. It's probably a good idea for you to have a clear idea of what you want before editing just so you don't spend hours browsing their library.

The video editor

In my opinion, FlexClip's video editor is a pretty good choice. It offers a simple user interface which makes it easy to use and edit videos without difficulty. If you've used other video editing software before, the interface will probably look pretty familiar to you.

And if you have no experience with video editing software, I'm sure this will be a welcome change for you as well. I'm no expert when it comes to editing videos so you can definitely take my word for it.

It took me less than an hour to get the hang of using the editor. While it's quite easy to use, you may feel a bit lost at times especially if you don't have any experience with using similar tools before.

That said, if you really need some help, you can always take a look at their video tutorials or visit their help center to get a clear idea of how to get the software to work for you.

Video tutorials

If you're a beginner and would like to get a clear idea of how to use the software, FlexClip has numerous video tutorials that will help you learn how to edit videos using the editor.

The company also offers extensive documentation on its official website where you can find guides and other helpful information.

It's best for beginners like me, who don't know much about video editing software. The company also hosts free online courses on how to use the software's features.

Furthermore, their Youtube channel also has a ton of helpful guides that can walk you through creating high-quality videos. You might even pick up a few ideas that you can use to create your campaigns, personal videos, and advertisements.

While I was using the tool, I found that their video tutorials helped me make the most out of it.

Stock assets

FlexClip's video editor comes with a ton of stock assets that you can use for your videos. There are over 4 million stock photos, videos and music you can use for your projects. You can use them without infringing any copyright laws.

Since they're completely free, you won't have to worry about paying anything to use them.

FlexClip stock assets

Just like everything else on FlexClip, these stock assets are categorized. You can find anything from "animals" to "abstract" and everything in between, for your videos.

They're certainly a welcome addition to the video editor and I'm glad that they're a part of it. These stock assets will definitely help you create high-quality videos for your company or personal use.

That said, these assets are mostly free to use, but there are some that have a "premium" label. If you want to use those assets in your videos, you'll have to pay a small fee for them.

Movie maker

With excellent efficiency, create a gorgeous video for your company's needs, as well as festivals, special events, and social media platforms.

This is also a good choice for professional content creators and advertising agencies. It usually takes about an hour and a half to make a video using the movie maker.

It's like the documentary category of videos that I talked about earlier.

Screen recorder

Get free screen capture software immediately and record everything that happens on your computer screen. With a single click, you may capture meetings, games, tutorial videos, and much more.

The screen recorder has excellent flexibility. You can record your screen in 1080p HD quality. Save your videos either in MP4 or AVI format.

The company also offers excellent quality with the feature even if it's in beta. This way, you can create simple videos to show your customers how to use a product in just a couple of minutes.

You can share the videos either on social media or send it to customers through email or text messages.

How to make a video using FlexClip

Creating a video on the platform is as easy as following three steps. Let's take a look below.

How to make a video using FlexClip

1. Add media

When you start using FlexClip, you're given a generous amount of space to use. That said, if you want to upload a lot of videos, it can be a bit challenging.

There's no limit on the number of videos you can upload at once. However, if you have a lot to upload, it might become a little difficult to use the software since you'll have a limited amount of space available for the videos.

2. Customize

If you want to customize your videos, make sure that you do it in this step. You can adjust the volume of your audio in this section. You can also add subtitles to your video in the customize tab.

3. Export

Once you've added all the video clips you want to use, customized them and set the volume, it's time to begin exporting.

You can export your videos in two different formats: an MP4 file or an AVI file.

Once you've exported your video, you can then share it or download it. All of these features are provided in the "export" section of the software.

FlexClip pricing plans

The software offers three paid plans. We've already discussed the free plan, so now it's time for you to find out how much it costs. You have the option to pay monthly or annually - depending on how much you want to save.

FlexClip pricing plans

Furthermore, its plans range from $5.99 to $19.99 a month

FlexClip alternatives

If you're not a fan of FlexClip, there's no need to worry. There are many other video marketing platforms you can use for your business. Let's take a look at one of the best substitutes below.

Wevideo

Although this platform is basically a free alternative to FlexClip, it does have some features that aren't available on FlexClip. For example, its "editor" tool has more options to create videos with the click of a button.

Wevideo

Another great feature of WeVideo is its huge library of stock images for your videos. You can find various types of images here including arrows, flowers, emojis, and more.

Conclusion

In conclusion, FlexClip is a great tool for those who lack experience in editing videos. This software has been designed to help you produce high-quality videos quickly and efficiently.

The software is not perfect, but it's a great way to enhance your video marketing strategy. And the best part about it is that you don't have to pay a single penny to use it. It's truly a way to make money with your videos.
