Kyle Forgeard, Jesse Sebastiani, and other crew members of NELK are collectively referred to as NELK Boys.

Although Forgeard is mostly known for his work with NELK, he has also ventured into other businesses, such as the hard seltzer company Happy Dad.

In 2010, Forgeard also helped create the YouTube channel NelkFilmz with twins Niko and Marko Martinovic. Their most viral video became "Coke Prank on Cops" and the channel has earned more than 7 million subscribers.

Thanks to his work with NELK and Happy Dad, as well as his own YouTube channel, Kyle Forgeard has built a large online following and has become a successful entrepreneur.

Kyle Forgeard early life

Kyle Forgeard was born on July 12, 1994 in Mississauga, Ontario. He would go on to graduate from high school and attend Ryerson University with hopes of studying film.

During college, Forgeard co-founded the YouTube channel Nelk. He would post prank videos and vlogs on the channel and also promote his brand Full Send Entertainment.

He was a good student but felt that school was not a good fit for him and wanted to commit himself to create content full-time.

Forgeard ultimately dropped out of Ryerson University and put all his energy and focus into Nelk. This decision would end up being one of the best of his life and allow him to garner the success he has today.

Kyle Forgeard career

When Nelk was founded in 2010, Forgeard and the Martinovic twins, Niko and Marko, had no idea that their channel would become so popular.

In fact, it wasn't until 2015 that the channel really started to take off. That's when Forgeard's video pranking law enforcement by claiming he had drugs in his automobile generated virality.

The cops jumped to the conclusion that he was talking about cocaine and began searching the vehicle right away. This is how Forgeard got Coca-Cola bottles into the trunk of his car.

As a result of their jokes, the video went viral with over 40 million views and earned thousands of new followers—and they've been increasing their fan base ever since!

However, one of his most notable accomplishments is his YouTube channel NELK Boys. The channel has over 1 million subscribers and millions of views on every single video.

The secret behind the success of this channel lies in its unique approach to content creation and marketing.

The videos are funny and engaging and feature some of the most popular YouTubers in the world including Jake Paul, Logan Paul, and Kian Lawley

They also have their own merchandise store where fans can buy products such as t-shirts or hoodies with their favorite YouTubers’ faces printed on them.

However, despite their popularity and success, they only receive $23 for each month's worth of views which is significantly less than what other YouTubers get paid for doing similar work;

like Jake Paul who earns $1300 per 1 million views according to New York Times investigation published in May 2021.

NELK Boys’ low payout rate may be due to their poor standing with YouTube which often leads to limited ad placement on their videos leading to lower revenue generation potential;

even though they post multiple times per day according to recent data released by Social Blade which revealed that they have uploaded over 600 videos in the past 12 months.

Kyle Forgeard controversy

Kyle Foregeard and the Nelk boys are no stranger to encountering their fair share of controversies. Below, I’ve rounded up a few I think you might be interested in.

The YouTube controversy

The Nelk Boys are a group of YouTubers who have millions of viewers, but they don't get paid for it.

It's not that they're not popular. The group has more than 10 million subscribers, and their videos regularly rack up hundreds of thousands of views.

They post regularly and have been doing so for years; there's no doubt about how much people love them. But despite all that, there are no ads on their channel—and there never will be.

It's not a fluke or an accident that their channel generates no money. Their movies are filled with raucous parties, creative pranks, and even criminal acts. On camera, they drink, swear, and make filthy jokes. The cops are frequently seen.

That's not very popular on YouTube. When the group pushed followers to disregard Covid-19 safety requirements, Nelk's channel was demonetized last year.

The prank arrest

When it comes to pranks, the NELK Boys have always been the ones to beat.

Their motto is "do what you want", and they've lived it well—whether that means making a rap video in the middle of a mall, or riding around on a segway pretending to be security guards.

But recently, one of their founders has been detained in connection with a slew of controversies over the previous year.

At the Grapevine Mills Mall in Texas, Kyle Forgeard allegedly impersonated a mall security official. He was swiftly arrested and taken into custody by the local police.

The well-known social media personality was purportedly posing as a security guard on his own segway as he made his way through the mall.

NELK Boys Twitter announced on April 20 that Kyle had been detained and brought into custody in Dallas, Texas. As time passed, the hashtag #FreeKyle spread like wildfire over social media, with many pleading for Kyle's release.

The detention of Forgeard wasn't excessive. According to The Blast, police say the YouTuber was never charged with anything but failure to appear at court—but many fans were still concerned about their idol being locked up.

This is not the first time Forgeard has been detained by police. In February 2018, he was arrested after allegedly assaulting another individual at a party hosted by Drake in Los Angeles.

He was later released on $50,000 bail and pleaded not guilty to charges of battery and vandalism.

There's no telling what Forgeard is up to next. This isn't his first run-in with the law: he was arrested in 2020 as part of the NELK Boys gang, but the details of that arrest have never been made public.

The latest mall prank may never make it to the internet due to the fact that it is prohibited to do so again.

The takeaway

Kyle Forgeard is one of the most popular YouTubers in the world. He has over 8 million subscribers on his channel, and he's been able to build a business around it.

While he started off as an aspiring musician and comedian, he found success on YouTube by posting videos of himself playing guitar and talking about his life.

It's been almost 10 years since Kyle Forgeard launched his first video on YouTube. Since then, he's grown into one of the biggest names on the platform.

His net worth is estimated at $1.5 million dollars, but given his continued growth and popularity, we can only expect that number to continue growing!
