It is possible to make stamp of any type at home

The first step is to develop the image in one of the computer programs, and the second step is to work with the materials at hand, which can be found in every house, closet or garage.

Developing an image

Before you start to make your own stamp, you need a design.

How to make a stamp with your own hands

The image of the future print can be created with the help of simple computer programs, for example, in the program Microsoft Word need to click on the tab "insert", on the panel that appears, select "illustrations", and then click on "shapes".

Several kinds of shapes will pop up, and you need a "ring" to print, which is located in the "main shapes"

After adjusting the ring by size, then you need to find "WordArt" on the same "insert" panel, it is also designated by the letter "A", turned on its side. Then you need to hammer in the text, adjust its size and font, and then impose it on the ring.

Here you need to create a new file with the same sides, click on "horizontal text" and select the font and text style

After that, you need to round out the lettering by clicking on "text deform" and then on "arc deform". Next, create a duplicate layer of stamp online, flip it 180 degrees and add the desired image to the stamp area.

In the MyStampReady digital stamp maker tool,, designed specifically for creating rubber stamps, you need to make a new sketch, select the type of stamp: "notary" or "invitation"

Then the stamp maker application will suggest several patterns for the location of the text or image. After selecting a pattern, all that is left is to type in the text and upload an image.

Including any interested webmaster can install a stamp generator on their website. Through the MyStampReady digital stamp maker API, the tool is set in the frame. you can both receive orders and sell electronic stamps by linking your payment system. You can see examples of sites that have already installed a stamp designer for yourself below.

Making a project of business stamp

Below are answers on the question how to make a stamp at home. Most of them do not require special knowledge or complicated tools.

From an eraser

Using copy paper, transfer the printed image of the stamp created in MyStampReady to the surface of the eraser.

Use a stationery knife or any other small cutting object to get rid of the excess parts of the eraser.

From raw potatoes

A large washed potato should be cut across, along the thickest part of it.

The printed out sketch of the custom stamp from MyStampReady should be attached to one of the halves and secured. After that, use a wood carver or a stationery knife to get rid of the unwanted parts of the potato.

From dense styrofoam

From a piece of dense foam plastic, use a construction knife to cut out a blank for printing.

The less dense side can then be used for the handle, on the denser side should be the seal itself

The seal sketch, which has been mirrored in MyStampReady, should be attached to the dense side, then heat up the needle with a lighter and run the needle along the lines of the seal. The seal should be melted by applying equal force to all elements.

From a sheet of metal

And a sheet of metal with a thickness of at least two millimeters should be cut out two equal squares.

The surface of the resulting products should be carefully sanded, one of the sides should be sanded to a mirror shine. Then it is important to degrease the parts with solvent.

Printed on a laser printer sketch, created in MyStampReady, you need to cut out, leaving a piece of paper to hold on to later. Then it's important to pour water into the lid of the jar beforehand.

Putting a metal square on a refractory surface, it should be heated with a gas burner. After heating it is necessary to press the sketch to the workpiece with a rag and smooth it out.

The resulting product should be dipped in water and the paper should be peeled off the square.

Next for pickling you need to mix electrolyte with table salt. Then you need to make two clamps from the wire, take the workpiece with one of the clamps and put it in the solution.

The second clamp should be attached to the other metal square. After an hour of etching the workpiece can be taken out.

From sponge

From a piece of sponge you need to cut out a mold for printing and transfer to it the sketch created in MyStampReady, using copy paper

The drawing should be traced with a permanent marker and trim off everything unnecessary with a box cutter. As a print handle, attach the sleeve from the toilet paper to the foam rubber with glue.

From aluminum foil

On a piece of foil transfer the print sketch made in MyStampReady. The sketch should then be outlined with a ballpoint pen and filled with epoxy glue or putty

From aluminum foil

After waiting for it to harden, you need to carefully separate the foil.

Made of plaster and plexiglas

As a mold for casting you need to take a round box of heavy cardboard or tin. Then from it you need to cut off a ring with a side of three centimeters and fix it on the Plexiglas.

After that you need to mix alabaster and pour it over the ring. After 40 minutes you can remove the ring, and then leave the plaster workpiece to harden for three days.

On the dried product, you need to transfer the print sketch designed in MyStampReady and deepen the lines with a woodcutter.

From heavy cardboard or plywood

From a piece of heavy cardboard or plywood, use a chisel or a small office knife to cut out a circle to the size of the seal.

The sketch of custom stamps made in MyStampReady should be glued to the resulting circle

Using the burner, it is necessary to get rid of all the internal filling of the seal, excluding the contours, letters and images. The finished product is attached to the base piece and handle.

Using copy paper or an iron on a piece of linoleum you need to transfer the sketch of the seal.

Then it is necessary to get rid of unnecessary material in the designs with a stationery knife, and with a chisel to deepen the contours of the seal.

From the cuttings

A piece of agricultural cuttings should be carefully sewn to the size equal to the base of the future seal and its handle, approximately seven centimeters.

The cut part should be carefully sanded. The print sketch created in MyStampReady should be transferred to heavy paper or cardboard with a photocopier

Deepening the elements of the rubber stamps by a millimeter with a stationery knife, you need to cut a circle out of cardboard and glue it to the wooden workpiece.

When doing any kind of work, it is important to observe safety precautions, make a stamp in a ventilated room and use personal protective equipment.

Personalized inking clichés are widely used in scrapbooking (decorative). Some will act as a design detail for your print book. Or even as decor for room items

If you still wonder how to make your own stamp, listen to me.

I've tested many ways of creating a rubber stamp design and there is no point in using complicated programs like Microsoft Word or Photoshop when there are much more convenient solutions - for example, the online generator.

  • you need to download and install them;
  • full version usually for a fee;
  • need to spent time for learning;
  • usually there is no mobile app.

BTW, Stamp Making Generator has no such cons, only pros - easy to use, no need to installation.
