Just like any platform, it makes sense to want to know what the costs are and whether they’re reasonable enough for your venture or not.

In today’s Stremyard pricing plans review, we’ll take a look at the costs of the platform alongside the features it offers to help you decide whether or not it’s the right choice for you.

What is Streamyard?

Before we get started, let’s talk about what exactly the platform is. Thousands of users were first introduced to the duck-shaped logo in 2018 where live streaming had started gaining popularity. Although the niche has grown exponentially well in the past 3 years, the platform has adapted and even flourished.

Streamyard Review

Basically, what it does is it gives you the chance to make money live streaming by allowing you to stream to your choice of audience with many more features than its competitors. While other platforms such as YouNow, Twitch, and even YouTube are meant to be for everyone, they seem to have oversaturated the market in some way.

Streamyard is a niche platform that is meant for live streamers who want a more personal experience with their audience. The platform has tiers that allow you to stream to as many people as you want but only pay for what you need.

Another thing that makes Streamyard different from the others is how it was built with a unique technology. It is said to be the first live streaming platform built with blockchain technology, making it secure and reliable in terms of transactions and payments.

Who is it for?

The beauty of the platform is that it’s great for anyone to use. Whether you’re a pro streamer or new to the world of streaming, you’ll definitely enjoy its features. I like how straightforward it is so you don’t get sidetracked on other projects.

Who is Streamyard for

Plus, it’s got great connectability. You can use it to stream on major platforms so there’s definitely a lot of avenues to earn on it.

Streamyard pricing plans: how much does StreamYard cost?

Basically, there are three pricing tiers for you to choose from. Like other platforms, you’re able to select a subscription between a monthly or annual billing cycle. I quite like how you’re able to save over $60 a year when you opt for yearly payments. However, I suggest taking it slowly at first just so you can get a feel for it.

The good news is, Streamyard also offers a free forever plan for anyone who wants to just explore what it does and how it works. To be honest, I really like the functionality that comes with the unpaid option.

Streamyard pricing plans

It’s a good choice for anyone who is just starting out or if you don’t have the funds to pay for a monthly subscription just yet. Let’s take a closer look at what it offers and how you can benefit from it.

Free plan

Perfect for streamers just starting out, or for anyone who just wants to have a bit of fun with streaming, this option costs absolutely nothing. Despite being unpaid, it comes with a lot of great features to get you on the right track.

This plan comes with the following features:

  • Screen sharing
  • Banners
  • On-screen comments
  • Up to 6 on-screen participants
  • Brand colors
  • Green screen
  • Stream anywhere
  • StreamYard branded videos
  • Streaming limits

Now, this may not be something you’re interested in if you want your streams to look a lot more professional. Since these come with certain limits like only being able to stream up to 20 hours per month, and the fact that you can’t remove the platform branding, you may want to opt for something else.

Next up, their most popular option, the basic plan comes with everything from the free plan plus a set of benefits that only paid users get to use. I quite like the functionality here and I think it’s better suited for growing streamers.

That said, I think you could also benefit from this pricing tier if you’re serious about starting your streaming career and if you think 20 hours of streams a month isn’t enough. Which, let’s be honest, is already A LOT.

The plan costs $25 a month or $240 a year. Take note that you’re able to save $60 a year if you opt for annual billing. It’s certainly not inexpensive, but I feel like it isn’t overpriced either. So I suggest you only subscribe to the plan if you’re sure you’re happy with what StreamYard offers.

Let’s take a look at its feature set:

  • No StreamYard branding in your streams
  • Unlimited streaming capabilities
  • Up to 10 on-screen participants
  • Add logo to your streams
  • Create any type of overlay with GIFs and images
  • Add backgrounds to your streams
  • Custom RTMP destinations
  • Pre-recorded streams
  • Up to 4 hours of recording per stream
  • 3 multistream destinations

Like I said before, I think this option has a TON of potential. It’s a great option if you’re a professional streamer or if you’re streaming for your business. Either way, if you decide that you like the features, $20-$25 doesn’t seem like too much of a splurge.

Their most expensive fixed price plan yet, this option is great for professionals, coaches and anyone who finds that the basic streaming packages just won’t be enough. Furthermore, I think it’s also a good choice for you if you’re streaming multiple types of content on different platforms.

Feature-wise, I think it’s about as good as you can get. I certainly think that there’s more than enough room to stream to your heart’s content. However, I know of a few people who might disagree with me.

On that note, this plan will cost you $49 a month or $468 a year. Take note that the annual billing option will save you $120 a year. For anyone who’s really serious about streaming and making a career out of it, I think that the savings would really interest you.

This plan comes with everything from the previous plans as well:

  • Up to 8 hours of recordings per stream
  • Up to 8 multi stream destinations
  • Full HD (1080p) streaming
  • Individual audio recordings

I know it may seem like it doesn’t have much to offer, but in reality, there’s so much you can do with these features. And it’s certainly well worth the subscription fee if you’re able to monetize your content properly. Just make sure you have a plan in place. Otherwise, you might be throwing money at a problem that can’t be solved.

But that’s not all! The software also offers a custom-cut pricing plan for anyone who is part of a larger team. This is a great option for enterprises and companies that stream with people from different areas at the same time.

Furthermore, this may interest you if you feel like the functionality of previous plans isn’t enough. What I like about it is that you’re able to demand exactly what you need from the platform and pay for exactly what you’ll be using.

To get a quote, you’ll need to get in touch with the platform’s sales support team. They’ll walk you through the basics and discuss your options with you before giving you options for pricing.

If you’re considering this option, you can contact their sales team and they usually get back to you pretty quickly. I really like how professional they are and quick to assist you with any questions you may have.

The takeaway: Is it worth the cost?

I’m going to be very blunt here. I think Streamyard is definitely worth what it charges. But that’s only if you decide that the features are exactly what you need. I know streamers who would beg to differ; and that’s only because they’ve found platforms that are best for them.

Streamyard screen sharing

To get a feel for it, I suggest giving the free plan a whirl for as long as you can. This way, you can become more familiar with the platform and how it can contribute to your success. Otherwise, I think you may want to look elsewhere.

One thing I think you should definitely not forget is that StreamYard has grown in popularity because it’s great at what it does. It’s introduced so many creators to the world of streaming and helped them become successful with an easy to use and beginner friendly user interface that transforms your streams into works of art.

So if you want life to be easier for you, I highly suggest taking it out for a spin. Who knows? It just might be the thing you need to become viral and skyrocket to fame.
