What is Thumbnail Blaster?

TB - as I like to call it, is a cloud based program that makes it easier for you to design your video’s thumbnails or cover photo for a variety of platforms. It claims that it’s possible to have the perfect option for you in three easy clicks so you have one less thing to worry about before you hit upload.

What is Thumbnail Blaster

This artificial intelligence software makes it less complicated for you to create attractive thumbnails without needing to hone your skills or spend time trying out different designs. You can forget tools like Photoshop once and for all.

Some people might argue that it isn’t at all that difficult to create a design. However, when you’re using elements that you don’t own, you’ll either have to pay for them outside of your design platform, or you’ll run the risk of getting tagged for copyright infringement - which isn’t fun for anyone.

How does it work?

You’re probably wondering what makes it different from your other options in the market. Let me be honest with you, you won’t have a lot of options.

HOWEVER - the software’s AI can run your entire operation on autopilot.

What do I mean? For each of the three clicks that are getting advertised, you can opt to have the artificial intelligence tool do it for you.

Let’s take a closer look at what I mean.

How does TB work

Step one: choose your template

There are over 30 pre-designed images to choose from. I like how there are several niche options so you don’t have to worry about settling for something that isn’t in-line with your content. Your choices include real estate, makeup, vlogs, pets, reviews, and weight loss among others.

And - as I mentioned before, you can opt to have the AI do this for you.

Step two: customize your template

Now that you’ve selected the design you want to go for, it’s time to make some changes so that it fits your content and your brand. It’s all fairly simple, you don’t really need any tech skills and you don’t need to download anything onto your computer.

TB customize your template

Everything is conveniently on the server and on a drag and drop builder so it doesn’t take more than just a few minutes to get everything done.

You’re able to make more specific changes as well like resize elements, change the text, and alter the fonts. You can also add new elements if needed.

Step three: publish and relax!

The next step is to click the PUBLISH button. This drives the software into a frenzy and calls out to all the potential viewers you need - kidding aside, once you hit publish, the AI automatically updates your video with the new thumbnail.

You could also just download a JPG version of the image and upload it yourself. In any case, your thumbnail is guaranteed to be a success in catching the eyes of your audience.

Thumbnail Blaster benefits

Aside from the fact that it will save from a lot of stress, TB has a lot of great benefits going for it. Take a quick look at them below:

  • Quick and easy. You don’t need to wait hours to get your thumbnail ready before publishing your video. It can be done within just a few minutes.
  • AI does it all for you! If you’re feeling lazy, you can just have the tool do everything for you. You just need to add in some important info, and in minutes, your video will be published without you even having to lift a finger.
  • Noob-friendly. The drag and drop user interface makes it easy for you to navigate the builder if you want to be a bit more hands on with the design process.
  • Great - but not overwhelming design library. There are over 30 templates to choose from that accommodates several niches. This means you have a good pool of choices, but not too many that it can get difficult to choose.
  • Design elements library. If you thought you’d only have to rely on what’s already on your chosen template, then you’re incredibly wrong. There is an extensive elements directory where you can choose shapes, stickers, and more.
  • Inclusive. Everyone knows that there are several sizes of thumbnails that you need for each type of platform. Luckily enough, Thumbnail Blaster helps you create your thumbnails for any size of video including 16:9, 4:5, 4:4, and more.

As you can see, there’s plenty of benefits to using the software. But, before you go ahead and jump the gun, let’s take a closer look at what makes Thumbnail Blaster software the best choice for you.

What are its best features?

The drag and drop interface, the seamless, UI, multiple design elements - all of these aren’t new. But they are some of the best things Thumbnail Blaster has going for it.

That said, you need to be aware of what you’re getting yourself into. Let’s take a look at its key features and how you can use them to your advantage.

Thumbnail Blaster best features_

Unlimited creation

Once you purchase your access to the software, you’ll have the ability to create as little or as many thumbnails as you want. This is great especially if you want to start selling your services, or if you’re simply a serious Youtube video content creator, the sky's the limit.

Artificial intelligence

Unlike its competitors, the TB software gives you access to a tool that does everything for you. And I do mean everything. All you need to do is fill in some basic information.

The AI will choose your template, make the necessary adjustments, and even publish your content for you.

So if you’re often struggling with time management and don’t really trust yourself to make design choices, this is a great feature to have.

100% complete creative freedom

So, I know I said that the AI can do it all for you. But for times when you really want to get hands on, you have complete control. You can add, remove, resize, any element and do with it as you wish.

Split testing module

You’ve heard of A/B testing before, I’m willing to bet. But did you know that you could do it for your video thumbnails as well?

Thumbnail Blaster split testing

What other design software out there can’t give you is the ability to optimize the cover photo for your videos. And best of all, it can be done in three easy steps!

Step one: choose two thumbnails

Step two: launch the split test program

Step three: sit back and relax

Basically, what it does is TB runs your video with both thumbnails. It rotates the thumbnail getting used every hour and then it shows you the data based on the number of views and clicks you get with each of your options.

Extensive graphics library

If you’re not 100% satisfied with the premade designs, the template directory has over 1000 design elements to choose from.

Plus, it’s getting updated with new options consistently so you don’t have to outsource specific graphics for your design needs because this thumbnail creator software has everything.

You aren’t limited to just creating your thumbnails for YouTube. This online thumbnail creator can be used for Facebook, Instagram, and any other video platform you can think of - including TikTok.

Lifetime updates and support

The Thumbnail Blaster customer support team is one of the best I’ve seen thus far. They’re quick to answer any inquiries, and even if you buy the software ahead of everyone else, you’ll still have access to free updates whenever the developers have them.

Thumbnail Blaster price

The best thing about TB is that it’s a one-time purchase. You don’t really need to pay monthly fees unless you purchase one of their OTOs. It costs a flat fee of $36.86 for lifetime access.

But that’s not all, let’s take a look at its other offers and upgrades.

OTO 1: Thumbnail Blaster PRO

This upgrade costs an additional $47 one-time fee. It gives you access to support for multiple accounts and extended licensing. Plus, you’ll also be able to save your own templates and perform an image analysis.

OTO 2: agency upgrade

For an additional fee of $67 one-time, you’ll gain access to agency rights, an agency website, and even an outsource cheatsheet. It’s a great idea if you’re a content agency and works with several people on your team.

OTO 3: template club

This is the only offer that incurs a recurring monthly fee. It costs an additional $27 a month and provides you with 20 new templates each month. If you’re not happy with the current choices you have, then this might be something to give you more options.

Thumbnail Blaster upsells OTOs

OTO 3: Lingo Blaster PRO

If you want to be more inclusive with your content, this upsell translates your titles and descriptions into over 100 languages. This is ideal for businesses that cater to different audiences and would like to rank better on Google. This will cost you an additional one-time fee of $57.

Thumbnail Blaster pros and cons

There are several things that I like about the software. And I think you’ll make great use of it too. But I’m not disillusioned, so I won’t say that this is the perfect choice for everyone. As always, you need to make that choice for yourself.

Having said that, here are some points that I believe would mean TB is the right choice for you:

  • It uses AI technology that can do everything for you if you don’t want to do all the design work - and even publishing, yourself. In my experience, it’s quite accurate, and you’re left with a great-looking thumbnail.
  • You are covered by a money-back guarantee, no questions asked. So if you aren’t happy with it, you can rest assured that you’re covered.
  • The software is easy to use and very flexible.
  • The templates can be used for various video platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and more.
  • There are options for different niches.
  • The graphics library is extensive and is getting updated with new elements consistently.
  • It’s inexpensive for the value it provides and since you don’t have to pay a monthly fee.
  • It’s available online so you don’t need to install the software on all of your devices.
  • It comes with a split testing feature that lets you test out the efficiency of your chosen cover photo.
  • You don’t have to worry about copyright infringement.

Despite its numerous good points, you still need to consider its drawbacks. That said, these are the points you need to look at just so you’re sure if it’s the right platform for you.

  • You’re restricted to creating just thumbnails.
  • The template library is a bit restrictive. However, you can purchase an OTO with a monthly recurring fee that comes with a set number of new templates each month.
  • It’s an online platform, so you need an internet connection to use it.
  • The AI won’t teach you how to create effective designs so you might end up too reliant on it.

Thumbnail Blaster alternatives

Before I talk you through buying the software any further, I think it’s important for you to know your options. These are two of Thumbnail Blaster’s biggest competitors. Take a look at why you should or shouldn’t choose TB over your other choices in the market.

This software is pretty much the new kid on the blog. It was launched in 2012 and has since been making rounds around the content community for its user interface and dynamic design applications.

So, what makes it different from TB?

The main difference is that Canva lets you create a variety of graphic design work - not just video thumbnails. You can even create a custom canvas with your own size requirements. Furthermore, the platform gives you the ability to create more than just PNG or JPG images.

You can create a variety of PDFs, GIFs, and even MP4s on the software.

Another area where it may shine over the former is the fact that it has a mobile app. So you’re basically able to work on your phone. Not to mention, there are hundreds of different templates you can use at any given time.

But more than that, I think you’ll appreciate the fact there is a free forever plan. This means you don’t really need to sign up for a membership just to use it. Unfortunately, you will be restricted to use its free features. And you won’t be able to save high-definition graphics.

That said, an advantage Thumbnail Blaster has over Canva is that you need a monthly subscription. It costs around $12 each month or $119 for an entire year.

Why should I choose it over Thumbnail Blaster?

This app is a good choice if you want something more versatile. If you’re looking for an all-in-one design studio that allows you to create a variety of graphic designs - which is something you can’t do on Thumbnail Blaster, then you should give the free trial a whirl.

Dubbed as the best online image editor tool, this program is known as the quickest way small businesses can create visuals that are attractive and engaging.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t have a mobile app like the former software mentioned. However, compared to TB - it does have a couple of good things going for it.

So, why should I choose it over Thumbnail Blaster?

First of all, this tool is best suited to rival TB because it only runs on your computer and not on your phone. But more than that, think of it as an all-in-one solution much like Canva minus the mobile app.

You can also search for certain saved photos with the easy-to-use search bar and a few choice keywords. You’ll also be able to choose from a pool of free images. Much like all the other choices here, it’s beginner-friendly and can be used even if you don’t have experience in graphic design.

Furthermore, it has a cool little question mark icon on each feature which leads to a pop up that tells you everything you need to know about how to use it.

It also comes with a free forever plan except you’re limited to saving only 10 images each month. The paid plans start at $9 a month but that also limits the number of images you can save each month.

Why should I choose it over Thumbnail Blaster

Stencil is a decent choice if you’re looking for something that’s easy to use on your laptop and if you don’t mind paying a monthly fee for it. It gives you more design options compared to TB since you can create visuals for your feed as well as other website imagery.

Thumbnail Blaster review: is it worth it?

If you want a platform that will save you lots of time from having to think about the right design choices for your cover photos, then yes. It’s definitely worth it. The AI technology makes things easier as well as streamlines the entire process for you.

Furthermore, you also get to split test your choices. This means you’re able to find the best thumbnail for your videos based on actual results and not guesswork. It’s also quite inexpensive and is a good platform if you’re looking for something convenient and that won’t distract you from doing what you actually need to do.

That said, I can’t say that it’s the best in the market. Of course, it may very well be the best if we’re talking about just video thumbnails. But if you’re someone who likes to work on a variety of graphic designs, I highly suggest you look into Canva as well.

Overall, make the choice for yourself. The money-back-guarantee period will help you make your decision without fearing that you’ve lost or wasted money.

After all, you can just request for a refund any time before the period expires if you end up not enjoying the software.
